Roles & Responsibilities – What Will I Be Doing?
Front-End & User Interface 
  • Create the best web experience on the desktop and the mobile.
  • Design creative and intuitive interfaces that deliver an emotionally connected user experience.
  • Advocate best practices, great usability and exceptional quality.
  • Create attractive graphics and layout to blend content and social interaction.
  • Optimize design through use of A/B and Multi-variate testing.
  • Create wireframes and rapid prototypes for design proposal and validation.
  • Create clean, standards-compliant, accessible maintainable code using primarily XHTML, HTML5, PHP, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX.
  • Through meticulous attention to detail, develop a sense of pride and ownership over the quality of our product.
 Platform
  • Work with other front-end and back-end developers to create the platform for the games developed by FireForge, including web, micro-transaction e-commerce store and apps for mobile devices.
  • Ensure the compatibility of all of FireForge’s web presence with a wide variety of devices ranging from mobile to desktop.
  • Work with the Localisation team to translate webpages into regionalised languages to reach to a worldwide customer base.
  • Work with the Community Management team to develop both incoming and outgoing social network connectivity to a wide variety of social network services.
  • Work with the Analytics team to develop measurement metrics on workflow, purchase, browsing behaviour and trends.
  • Perform web security activities and participate in security planning.

Requirements:
Requirements – What Skills Do I Need?
Basic

  • Degree or Diploma preferred.
  • Good experience with designing web-based user interfaces.
  • Good experience with social media design and experience with various tools.
  • Intelligent, creative, organised, a good attitude and possesses professional work ethics.
  • Proficiency with Fireworks, Photoshop or related tools.
  • Experience with Web Development technologies – e.g. HTML, XML, xHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax.
  • Experience with a JavaScript framework (jQuery a plus).
  • Experience with LAMP stack.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
 Plusses
  • Previous development experience in CRM, CMS, or e-Commerce.
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility.
  • Passion for gaming.
  • Familiar with mobile app development.
  • Able to read Chinese and communicate in Mandarin to liaises with Chinese written documents.
